These oils are scientifically formulated using Mobil's proprietary SHC technology to perform reliably in both high and low temperature conditions. They provide excellent low-temperature flow, improved air release, and superior mechanical shear resistance for heavily loaded gears and high-shear bearing applications, ensuring virtually no loss of viscosity.
Mobil SHC 600 Series products have low traction coefficients, reducing fluid friction in gears and rolling contact bearings. This translates into lower operating temperatures, improved gear efficiency, and reduced power consumption. Laboratory testing has shown up to 3.6% improvement in energy efficiency. Additionally, the formulation offers excellent resistance to oxidation, deposit formation, rust, corrosion, foam, and air entrapment. These oils are compatible with seals and other materials commonly used with mineral oils.
