Ensure there is no beverage pod in the K-Cup® pod holder. Pour 4.6 oz. of descaling solution into your brewer's water reservoir, then add fresh water to the 8 oz. fill level.
Place a large ceramic mug on the drip tray plate, then lift and lower the handle on the pod holder but do not add a K-Cup® pod.
Press the brew button, and once the solution is dispensed into the mug, pour the contents into a sink.
Repeat this process a second time, but when the brewer indicator light turns solid, press the power button as the brewer starts to dispense.
Let the brewer stand for a minimum of 30 minutes, then press and hold the brew button until the solution begins to dispense, continuing to hold until all of the solution has been dispensed. Pour the contents of the mug into a sink.
Finally, fill the reservoir of your machine with fresh water only and brew with no K-Cup® pod. Repeat this step twice more, or as many times as needed to remove residual taste, pouring the dispensed water down the drain after each rinse.
