Mobil SHC™ 800 Series turbine oils are designed for the most severe industrial gas turbine applications, offering a nominal 10,000-hour TOST life. Recommended for land-based turbines under 3,000 hp, standby units, and some combined-cycle or total energy systems. Formulated with synthesized hydrocarbons and a unique additive system, these oils provide excellent low temperature fluidity, exceptional high temperature stability, antiwear protection, rust and corrosion resistance, air release efficiency, and foaming resistance.
These oils resist thermal and oxidative degradation during heat soaking periods after shutdown and allow rapid circulation at low temperatures during start-up. Their high viscosity index and low temperature fluidity help maintain consistent performance under mechanical shearing and repeated thermal cycling. Fully compatible with mineral oils, admixture may reduce performance.
Suitable for industrial gas turbines, particularly units in cycling mode, standby turbines, combined-cycle, and total energy systems. Provides continuous lubrication and protects bearings and critical valves under severe operating conditions.
