When compared to using a buttermilk and egg wash, this pre-dip batter offers an array of benefits!
It is designed to improve coverage and adhesion, retain moisture, absorb less oil, and reduce shrinkage in the fryer. This helps breading, including panko and other coarse coatings, to uniformly coat foods to achieve a perfectly crisp, golden brown exterior with more crunch in every bite! It is lightly seasoned to be able to coat a variety of foods, from chicken and shrimp to french fries, onion rings, and other vegetables, and will not overpower the flavor of your foods or their other coatings.
Best of all, this mix is quick and easy to prepare and use! Simply add 7 1/2 cups of cool water and 3 cups of mix into a mixing bowl and blend with a wire whip until the batter is evenly mixed and free of lumps. Dip food in the prepared batter and let any excess drip. It can be used as a standalone batter, or continue to coat the food in your house-made or favorite Golden Dipt breading and fry until golden brown.
If using on hard-to-coat foods, try dredging in dry pre-dip mix prior to dipping in the prepared batter for a better hold. Each case comes with (6) 5 lb. resealable bags and is able to coat up to 600 lb. of food, providing you with an ample supply for all of your culinary needs.
