Based in Modena, Italy, the Toschi brand was first established as World War II was wrapping up in 1945. In the outskirts of Vignola, a town world-famous for cherries, brothers Giancarlo and Lanfranco Toschi were inspired by an abundant harvest. In their little shed, they agreed to commence a commercial-scale production of cherries to be preserved in alcohol so that they could be enjoyed all year long.
With great success, the initial focus on cherries grew to include many other products still available to this day, including sweet fruit liqueurs, ice cream, soft drinks, syrups, and even balsamic vinegar. The mission of creating and delivering quality products with respect to tradition has garnered attention from well-known organizations, including teaming up with Ferrari to create a gift box set, and appearing in the 2006 Venice Film Festival.
