- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C)
- Brown 3 lb. of ground beef in a pan over medium heat, then drain excess fat
- In a full size metal steam tray, combine 12 cups of boiling water, cooked ground beef, and the contents of 1 packet of Zatarain's reduced sodium jambalaya mix
- Stir thoroughly to combine, then cover tightly with lid or foil
- Place the pan in your preheated oven and bake for 35 minutes, or until the rice is cooked and all the liquid is absorbed
- When the rice is cooked, remove the pan from the oven and let it stand, covered, for 5 minutes
- Before serving, stir gently to fluff and mix
